    Fabulous

Insufficient information about Room type for Cost. It appears that we paid for a Classic Double Room, a re-furbished room according to web- site, but were given a normal Double Room. We paid £198 a night for a £155 room. That is £129 difference for 3 nights.

    Superb

Love the traditional feel of this London hotel. A very relaxing place to stay. Great location. Stayed in a twin room and it was very comfortable. Good value.

Breakfast staff had problems understanding what we wanted for breakfast. It took a couple of requests for a glass of orange juice, another member of staff was then sent to check what we wanted and we still ended up with two... Instead of one glass of orange juice! Trivial I know, but nevertheless rather annoying.

    Good

The main advantage was location. I also liked the the decor. It is a very cute hotel. Very nicely presented

The rooms (2 ) that we used were impossibly small , in fact one had a four foot bed and was sold as a double room! There is no air condittioning so we had to let window on street side of hotel open, which resulted in no sleep 3 nights in a row. By way of air conditioning there was a desk top fan. Very noisy esp when we had to let it on through the night

We have stayed at Durrants several times and it is our favorite London hotel. We have never been disappointed. Whenever we need to stay in London we would not go anywhere else. It's our home from home.

It is the essence of London for every foreigner. Highly professional staff in a "Downton Abbey" setting and Selfridges less than 2 minute walk away. Half way between Regents Park and Hyde Park, with Oxford street two streets away, this has to be the best spot in London. The concierge was wonderful with any information, and the General Manager unobtrusively accessible. Have stayed in them all, spend ave 100 nights a year in hotels, this beats the Park Lane/Kensington set of 5 * Hotels hands down. I kept it secret cos I want to be able to get a room there always....but its fabulous and they deserve the great review. Its the only hotel I get up to breakfast for even when its not included in package. Best breakfast sausages and assam tea in London.

The only thing I do not like about Durrants Hotel is.....leaving it!! Suki Loftheim x

    Fabulous

Charming hotel and beautifully decorated room, although no view through the window. We did not use the communal areas, which looked sumptious

I think the attitude at reception is unnecessarily cold and off putting. No pleases or thank yous on the phone - elementary courtesy lacking. The concierge and porters on the other hand are young and sweet. The lack of Wifi facilities (unless charged for) needs addressing.

    Fabulous

Location combined wiyh very helpful staff

There was not any tea making facilities in the room, especially liked for the "early morning cuppa".

    Fabulous

Staff were helpful, polite and freindly. Very good standard and cleanliness.

We were in room 207 which is facing an internal atrium. The room was very hot even though temperatures were not particularly excessive outside. A small fan was provided which was thoughtful but this could only be operated on high speed - a screw had been inserted so it could not be turned down to the two lower speeds so it was too noisy to have on during the night. Tiny detail that could have made our stay more pleasant, I guess we could have asked for it to be changed but we were only there for a very short time.

mold in the halls and rooms affrected my breathing. As a singer this is not good so I won't be staying here again.
